Costco’s Adorable Decorated Pyrex Sets Are Turning Heads

Costco lovers are heeding the call of their favorite bloggers and staking a claim to fanciful Pyrex sets featuring designs from Disney, Star Wars, and Hello Kitty. An Instagram post by Costco Buys gave this shout-out, “I’m SO excited about these adorable Disney, Star Wars, & Hello Kitty themed Pyrex sets! These 8-piece sets are just $19.99. I grabbed the Disney ones for myself but these would be awesome as gifts!” Followers immediately chimed in, including this response from arhull2008, who’s already on top of holiday shopping: “I just grabbed the Disney ones! Every time they get sold out so quickly! Wrapping it up for myself for Christmas.” Sadly, user Belizeantay wasn’t as lucky. “Ugh I can’t find these anywhere,” the poster wrote, along with a cry-face emoji.
In a separate Instagram post, another Costco-loving blogger, costcohotfinds, announced (with plenty of heart emojis), “My Costco got them in!!! Star Wars, Hello Kitty and Disney Pyrex!!! … Insanely good deal!! I couldn’t find similar sets for under $40! So cute and a fun gift idea too.” In response, davsters asked for help zoning in on a location, “Does anyone know if this is available in SoCal? NEEEEED.”

What’s the big deal? Apparently, the Costco price of $19.99 is about half-off the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. On its direct-shopping link, Pyrex shows the eight-piece Disney Princess set priced at $40. According to the product description, the durable glass set with matching dishwasher-, freezer-, and microwave-safe lids, features images of several well-known Disney princesses. Also listed at $40 on the Pyrex website, the eight-piece Star Wars collection showcases images of iconic characters including C-3PO, Darth Vader, and Yoda etched in turquoise and black on clear glass. The Hello Kitty featuring, of course, Kitty and her signature red bow, is black-and-red on clear glass with red lids.
